Building Design, reviewing the Bartlett's Degree/Diploma Show, noted the school's 'sky-high reputation' and said we are 'pushing the parameters of architectural education'. The Bartlett has grown greatly in size and in its architectural activities: from undergraduate to design-based MArch and PhD courses, the most popular exhibition of student work in the country, a great variety of research, a packed programme of public lectures, and a forthcoming sequence of publications.

As our alumni have carried this diversity and excitement out into the world, however, they tell us they can lose touch with each other, with the Bartlett, and with the Bartlett spirit.

Thus Bartlett Architecture Society: open to the Bartlett's former students, past and current staff, and others who share the association's aims. These aims are to support learning and teaching in architecture, particularly in the context of the Bartlett, to develop and promote the global Bartlett community, and to offer its members an annual programme of events and regular information about what's happening here.

After the first year or so, we intend that the membership should take charge of shaping the annual programme.

In addition, as the foundation from which our specialised activities will grow, we are fortunate to have the UCL Alumni Association which offers UCL alumni and staff access to reduced-price accommodation in London, eating and meeting venues, library facilities and so on.
