The Bartlett workshop is the school's hub of
activity, tuition and experience in the world of making things.
It is amongst the best equipped in architectural education
anywhere in the UK, with dedicated woodwork, metalwork, machinework,
and plastic facilities. Students may use it at any time during
opening hours under the supervision of teaching staff with
unique experience and activity in the field of design and
making. All Year 1 students are requireed to complete a made
project utilising the workshop's facilities.
The workshop is managed by Abi Abdolwahabi,
who is assisted by Bim Burton (craftsman-in-residence), Richard
Grimes, and Robert Randall, each of whom are active designers
and makers in specialist fields.
