TOTeM win RCUK Digital Economy Award

The Tales of Things and Electronic Memory (TOTeM) project won a prize in the Research Councils UK Digital Economy Theme 'Telling Tales of Engagement' Competition 2011 at the Digital Engagement Workshop, 15th-17th November 2011. The prize of £10,000 is to allow researchers to disseminate the story of the impact their research to a wider audience.

TOTeM is a collaboration between the UCL Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, Brunel University, the University of Dundee, the Edinburgh College of Art and Salford University, exploring new ways of preserving social history by providing a platform to allow memories in the form of rich media to be attached to everyday objects via simple tagging mechanisms.
