Overview
EIT ICT Labs is a leading European organisation for Innovation and Education in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). 3Cixty (https://www.3cixty.com/) is an initiative conjointly developed by EIT ICT Labs and its partners from Germany, Italy, and France, among which Telecom Italia, Thales, Centro Ricerche FIAT, DFKI, Inria, Eurecom, Cefriel and Fondazione Politecnico di Milano as well as CASA. In essence, 3Cixty is an initiative that integrates city data seamlessly in everyday life. It offers a platform and an ecosystem of services that provide comprehensive and diverse information on the urban environment and on urban mobility. For example, an app developed on the platform will give city visitors a possibility to explore in novel ways a variety of events and points of interest in Milan to create their own "wish list", which will help them to reach new locations and previously visited places with a mobile guide. CASA is partnering with this European consortium to create a suite of realtime dashboards for smart cities around Europe powered by the 3cixty platform.
