The DPU summerLab team is pleased to announce the release of its first series pamphlet, documenting the work of the 2012 series workshops Zurich: Liminal Contours and Rome: Occupation City. The launch will be held on April 23, 2013 at the DPU in Room 101. The event will also serve as the official opening of the upcoming 2013 summerLab series. A result of great creative effort from the team, especially Giorgio Talocci for the graphic direction and William Hunter for editing, the pamphlet provides great insight into the work involve through a unique mobile programme that allows for further collaboration with various urban institutions and professionals as well as marginalised communities and demographical constituents in addressing distinct contextual societal challenges.
The pamphlets are already available to view online:
DPU summerLab is an annual summer workshop series that seeks to establish a unique rotating platform for in situ immersion and experimentation in urban environments where the boundaries of spatial agency are actively tested, hinging upon critical analysis and spatial knowledge development. The workshops are open to international participants and targets undergraduate and graduate students as well as emerging professionals in design, planning, geography and other related disciplines.
More information can be found on the summerLab page.
Please stay tuned here for future info on the 2013 workshop series.
