PhD Studentship Available in Energy

The UCL Energy Institute has another fully funded PhD studentship available in Energy for the next academic year (September 2012).

We have several potential projects on offer; the ONE studentship available will be awarded to the best applicant for any of the four projects below. 

  • Implications of unconventional gas in EU energy supply systems and energy security under climate constraint
  • The contribution of agriculture to climate change mitigation in the UK
  • The Impact of the regulatory regime on the economics of nuclear energy
  • Markets for ecosystem services as an innovative instrument to compensate damages arising from large energy projects of common European interest? A legal and policy analysis

Applicants should have a UK 1st Class or 2.1 Honour's first degree in arelevant field, such as economics, environmental science, engineering, law, science or physics. Please note each project has a different personal specification.

Funding: Enhanced stipend £17,090 per annum + UK/EU fees
Funding body: EPSRC DTA Award – 3 years
Start date: September 2012
