Secondary supervisor: Dr Kalliopi Fouseki
Starting date: October 2012
Projected completion date: October 2015

My research intends to investigate the possibility for a private entity to act as instigator and funder of a “holistic” (participatory and artistic) experience created by the members of a community. The result for the entity could be the creation of profit and social capital for the community of.   I will try to examine the relationship between profit and social capital in a very practical manner, with the aim to put the model in everyday use for the benefit of the communities, especially those involved in the heritage sector. Examples will be drawn from the artistic communities of Greece and the UK and an attempt for a comparative study will be made.
