	New commission May 2013 \| Nottingham We are pleased to announce the winners of our new commission Graham Elstone and Thomas Hall from Low Brow Trash, which is continually exploring new ways to utilise new technology as a creative tool. Congratulations!

	Workshops: artists in residence March 13 \| Waltham Forest, London The drawing shed is working with @WildScreens on the streets, parks, in the library and local cafes in Leytonstone, around the screen locations to engage both homeless and other local people in a conversation on the theme of homelessness. join the conversation: @WordintheHand #homeless
	Workshop 7 March 13 \| The Mill, London Screens in the Wild team engaged with young teens and explored various actions with them. Exciting interactions emerged. We had great fun!

	Workshop: artists in residence 19 Feb 13 \| The Mill, London The Screens in the Wild team invited The Mill's over 60′s group, The Coppermill Recycled Teens to share their stories. We had a great turnout full of energy and enthusiasm, talking about family, memories and new media!
	@ Ishraqah festival 16 Feb 13 \| NAE, Nottingham 'The Screens in the Wild team was at the Ishraqah festival at New Art Exchange Nottingham. This offered a great chance to explore the urban screens network and link up with the other locations. Find out more about the festival.
	Workshop: 7 Feb 13 \| The Mill, London Brief encounter / close-up -phase 2 Building on the access of 1st workshop back in Dec, D-Fuse (artist in residence) invited the residents of Walthamstow to a new workshop to be active participants and help develop content through a collection of photos, which offer insights into their personal views and the place they live in.
	Field trip 31st Jan 13 \| The Mill, London MSc AAC @ The Mill Students from the Module 'City as Interface' on the MSc Adaptive Architecture Computation, The Bartlett, went to Walthamstow to explore telepresence and the connectivity with Nottingham through our mediated spaces.
	Workshop: Brief encounter / close-up Video artists and live A/V performers D-Fuse invite the residents of Walthamstow to show us your area how you see it. In a number of workshops we are building a collection of photos and descriptions that show the area from the view of the people who live there.
	MAB 12 Conference workshop: 15-17 Nov 12 \| Aarhus, Denmark Prototyping for ownership During this one day workshop attendees from different countries with various backgrounds came together to focus on 'ideation and prototyping techniques for early involvement and activation of stakeholders'.
	Festival Bains Numeriques 7 Ava was invited on the panel «Different perspectives on new city and civic practices». The panel included architects, sociologists, and artists, as part of the Professional meetings BN#7: What if digital arts reinvented the city? in Enghien-les-Bains, France.
	Designing Interactive Systems (DIS 2012) We presented our design approach at the (Research in the Wild 2012) workshop on understanding ‘in the wild’ approaches to design and development, DIS 2012, June 11-15 in Newcastle, UK.
	4th Open Ubiquitous City Seminar Moritz (from UCL research team) joined the ‘Urban Sensoria: Human-Centered Computing in Practice’ workshop held by Alejandro Jaimes from Yahoo Research, Barcelona, testing, among others, Augmented Reality ideas for Urban Screens at the Open Ubiquitous City Seminar, June 2012, in Oulu, Finland.
	Digital media, Urban Public Space and Participation We explored design responses at the 'Remediating Urban Space Symposium' organised by the School of Architecture and i-DAT, Plymouth University, in June 2012. Keynote by Mark Shepard (Sentient City, University of Buffalo, USA).
	International Symposium on Pervasive Displays (ISPD 2012) 'Screens in the Wild' poster was accepted for display at the (ISPD 2012), June 4-5, 2012 in Portugal. The symposium brought together researchers from various disciplines with a common interest on the opportunities and challenges raised by the emergence of pervasive display systems as a new communication medium for public and semi-public spaces.
	Bodystorming Workshop at Mixed Reality Lab We ran the first Bodystorming workshop on 24th Feb 2012 at the Mixed Reality Lab in Nottingham. During the workshop members of the MRL and the Space Group explored initial hardware and software capabilities, generated wealth of ideas, and discussed potentials and critical challenges. Read more.
	Social Cities of Tomorrow Conference 'Screens in the Wild' was presented at the 'Social Cities of Tomorrow' conference in Amsterdam, 16-17 February 2012. The international conference featured a number of 'best practices' in the design of our 'social cities of tomorrow'.
	3rd Open Ubiquitous City Seminar Ava gave a talk at the 3rd Open Ubiquitous City Seminar in Oulu, Finland on 23 May 2011. Presenting in conjunction with the 2nd International UBI Summer School 2011, Ava explored the Embodied Mediated Performative nature of interactions in Urban Space.
