Building on the access of 1st workshop back in Dec, D-Fuse (artist in residence) invited the residents of Walthamstow to a new workshop to be active participants and help develop content through a collection of photos, which offer insights into their personal views and the place they live in.

International Symposium on Pervasive Displays (ISPD 2012)

'Screens in the Wild' poster was accepted for display at the (ISPD 2012), June 4-5, 2012 in Portugal.

The symposium brought together researchers from various disciplines with a common interest on the opportunities and challenges raised by the emergence of pervasive display systems as a new communication medium for public and semi-public spaces.

We ran the first Bodystorming workshop on 24th Feb 2012 at the Mixed Reality Lab in Nottingham. During the workshop members of the MRL and the Space Group explored initial hardware and software capabilities, generated wealth of ideas, and discussed potentials and critical challenges. Read more.

Social Cities of Tomorrow Conference

'Screens in the Wild' was presented at the 'Social Cities of Tomorrow' conference in Amsterdam, 16-17 February 2012. The international conference featured a number of 'best practices' in the design of our 'social cities of tomorrow'.

Ava gave a talk at the 3rd Open Ubiquitous City Seminar in Oulu, Finland on 23 May 2011. Presenting in conjunction with the 2nd International UBI Summer School 2011, Ava explored the Embodied Mediated Performative nature of interactions in Urban Space.
