Chairman of Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners which has offices in London, Barcelona, Madrid, New York and Tokyo, Richard Rogers is the 2007 Laureate of the Pritzker Prize for Architecture and his work includes the Pompidou Centre in Paris, Lloyd’s of London, the Millennium Dome and the Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre in London, the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff and Terminal 4, Barajas Airport in Madrid.

Abstract

Richard Rogers will look at how well-designed, sustainable cities demand a flexible structure and a clear articulation of public spaces that connect different communities and link people within localities to their homes, schools, workplaces and basic social institutions.
