Description of email pollution people group

Where am I?

You have reached the home page of the email pollution people group. The address of this page is http://www.bartlett.ucl.ac.uk/web/ben/polinfo.html, it is hosted by the Architecture department of University College London. I maintain this page on a pretty irregular basis and I also run a closed mailing list sending news or information that might be of interest to any of us.

Who are we?

We are a loose collection of people whose work involves air pollution in some way and can communicate via email. This list only contains UK based researchers but I am also slowly sticking together an international list. Originally I knew everyone on the list, but now, noone does.
The current list is up to date but has a few extras on it. People have started to send in web pages which are linked to this list.

What do we do?

We have had three symposia in September 96,97 and September 98. All here at UCL. The purpose was for everyone to put faces to email addresses and make friends and new contacts.

A long text file containing pollution people abstracts 1998 can be found here.

We also have loads of informal nights out, some of them including the "I hope its pollution tonight" Xmas party have been a lot less informal than others. (No reviews no pictures, I hope).
So far I think 4 people have got their current jobs through the email list and quite a few questions have been answered. This year I will try and archive the questions and answers, find them
here as a text file. (last updated 17/2/98)
Data files available here are:-
weather.tsv (weather data from September 1997 to Feb 98, tab separated text 240K, from the roof of 1-19 Torrington Place in central London, the mast is only 3m high but the site is about 36m high, RH% needs calibrating, the rest is ok).
COPM1097.csv (9 CO monitors data and 6 PM10 monitors in central London, data from SEIPHS web pages)

If anyone who reads this web page, wants to either take it over, add links, suggest improvements, complain about it or praise it then email me, Ben Croxford.
